3 May 2013

For today's edition of Filosophy Fridays, we celebrate a very important time for a huge part of the world - Orthodox Easter.

Today would then fall as Orthodox Good Friday - the day when, according to the Old Calendar, Christ had died on the cross that he was nailed to one day prior.

In the spirit of the day, and in keeping with our Filosophy Fridays segment, I have decided to enclose a few verses from The Bible. In fact, these are some of my personal favourite verses.

The following excerpt is from James 1:2:
Consider it pure joy, my brethren, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces the ability to endure.
Let this endurance take you all the way, without fail, until you are perfect and lack nothing.
This is extract is one for troubled times. The rest of it goes into greater depth, and can be read via the link below.
Happy Easter to all the Orthodox Christians out there!
