1 Mary 2013

This one is for the Star Wars fans - so, all of you (it better be all of you).

Today's Daily Quota for your Woeful Wednesdays is a collection of 66 Behind the Scenes photographs from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
I don't think much explanation is needed for this one, folks.

It's quite fascinating how these epic battle scenes were forged from such minuscule models. The scale cinematography itself is beyond words. It's this kind of innovative approach to special effects that ensure the timelessness of these flicks - think also Jurassic Park and the unprecedented use of wax figures. 
Also, it's interesting to see Chewy, C3PO and even R2-D2 pop their tops off to reveal human faces, not to mention the wires coming out from underneath wisdom-jockey Yoda.
